Top 10 Ideas for that “Big First Date” – No. 4

Although I don’t claim that my idea of a great date is for everyone, I think the majority of women might agree with me when I declare that any date that includes “chocolate” will score major brownie points (pun intended) in the “Mr. Right” column.
Everyday there seems to be a new study on the health benefits of chocolate and no matter what the findings, one thing still rings true…chocolate makes us feel good. So what better way to start off a first date then by setting the tone for the evening with …A CHOCOLATE BUFFET!

There are some great upcoming chocolate buffets and festivals around the country. I have been to a few in my time and there is no other type of dining experience that puts a smile on my face from the moment I enter the room. Below are some that caught my eye while browsing the internet…if you end up going, please send your review to info@catholicsingles.com I would love to hear all about it.

Chocolate at the Penn
Chicago, IL
https://www.peninsula.com/Chicago/en/Enticements/Chocolate_at_the_Pen/default.aspx

Chicago’s premiere chocolate bar. Every Friday and Saturday night in the hotel lobby from 9pm – Midnight. There is also live music…this is a first date that can’t go wrong…can you say win/win.

Café Fleuri – Chocolate Bar
Boston, MA
https://boston.langhamhotels.com/restaurants/chocolate_bar.htm

This buffet is on Saturday afternoons from 11am – 3pm. Personally, I like an afternoon date…better to see someone in daylight for the first time…lol. The room looks beautiful and of course, it’s all you can eat!

San Francisco International Chocolate Salon, March 15, 2014
San Francisco, CA
https://www.sfchocolatesalon.com

Tasting, exhibits and chocolate…oh my! If you are in the San Francisco area you should send that first email now and line up a date for this event. It is also very reasonable…only $25 for advance tickets. What are you waiting for…send a smile to someone today.

Festival of Chocolate
Tampa/Orlando/Ft. Lauderdale
https://festivalofchocolate.com

Keep this website in your favorites list. According to their website, this is the largest all-chocolate event in the Southeastern United States. Dates vary according to cities, but if you have a last minute date this weekend, you can head to the Tampa expo…so wish I was there.

Carolina Chocolate Festival, February 1-2
Morehead City, North Carolina
https://www.carolinachocolatefestival.com

Okay…no better way to get to know someone than entering a “Chocolate Pudding Eating Contest” and playing “Chocolate Bingo”. Seriously…this sounds like the best festival ever! Check out the website as they have a lot of “chocolate” themed events leading up to the actual festival. If you hit it off, this website could easily offer first, second and third date options.

So by now you get the idea…a “chocolate” event may just be the ticket you need to make a good first impression. There are many events around the country especially in February so just type “chocolate events” in your search engine with your city and I’m sure you’ll find one. And remember…please share your pics on Facebook.com/CatholicSingles
