Robert & Elizabeth

On Years Eve 2004 I remembered an ad for CatholicSingles .com. and because I wanted to meet someone and stay in my Catholic religion I sent a basic “do you want to chat” to a person that had posted (on the site).

On New Years Day I received a message saying I had mail on CatholicSingles.com. Well, to my surprise the message said ” Hi My Name is Elizabeth and you sit behind me in church with your daughter and grandchildren”. I asked her to please introduce herself to me next Sunday so we didn’t need to use the dating site. The next Sunday that lady who always sat in front of me wasn’t in church so I was really confused. After mass Elizabeth came around the corner and said she was late and it was the lovely lady who I had been watching for several months but never thought of talking to her.

We went out the following Saturday just lunch but it turned into a day and evening event going to dinner in Jackson.

Because of what happened to my late wife, after 3 months of dating I asked Elizabeth when she had her last physical. Her reply was she had “never had one”. I insisted she get one and she told me ” I don’t have a doctor ” I told her I had a female doctor and she would love her. Elizabeth told me she didn’t have the time. I made the appointment and made sure she went for her scheduled physical. As a result of that physical they found breast cancer but the good news it was stage one. We were married on July 8th 2005. It is now 8 yrs. that Elizabeth has been cancer free and we have been happily married.

Our 6 children have supported us in every way which makes our relationship even more special. I thank the good Lord every day because it is special to have true love 1 time in your life, but finding true love 2 times in life is very Special.

Oh yes, Elizabeth saw the catholicsingles.com only once the same as me and that ad has never been posted again.

Thank you Catholic Singles,

Robert & Elizabeth
