Karen and Scott (North Carolina)

Dear CatholicSingles.com:Scott and I met on the CatholicSingles.com site in May of 2004. I had recently moved from NY to NC and was looking to meet a Catholic, professional like myself. The bar scene wasn’t my thing and being that I work from home, it is difficult to meet other professionals. I had tried speed-dating and one of the more “mainstream” online match services and didn’t find that someone special. I decided to try CatholicSingles.com.The first week I joined Catholic Singles, I received emails from a lot of nice people, but many were from out of state. One night later in the next week I accidentally entered the chat room thinking I was going to read about how to do the chats — and Scott introduced himself.Scott and I met for our ‘1st date’ at the Macaroni Grill about a week or so after we met in the chat room. He was as charming in person as he was on the phone and that night I knew he was the one. We had so much in common – from values and religious background to education and upbringing. We dated throughout the summer.Scott and I got engaged on Sept. 3rd, 2004 on a small island off the coast of PR, called Vieques. It was quite a surprise and quite a romantic proposal, but Scott is quite an amazing man and I would have expected no less from him.We were married in on a beautiful Spring day at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Greensboro, NC on May 21, 2005 — one year and one day from our first date at the Macaroni Grill.Thank you – Karen Galiger
