| Dear CatholicSingles.com, Just when you think the Lord has asked you to join the Single Life vocation and you prepare for it by praying day and night that He wants this for you, is when it happens! That’s when you meet the one true love of your life. That is what happened to screen names, Mikeinva and Fstaqwn! Several nights in the chatroom in May 2005, seeing the same screen names, same time, same place, did the Pooh icon catch my eye and my sense of humor, and next thing I knew, I get an Instant Message from the Pooh icon. We chatted in Messenger every night and eventually exchanged phone numbers. And it was that first phone call that I heard the voice that would some day become my husband. |
| Then it came time for the most challenging times of any relationship. Who was going to visit who?…Mikeinva was on the East Coast and I was on the West Coast. We had to just go with the flow and give the relationship to God. And that is what we did. We knew from the very start it was meant to be. Sometimes life has a way of letting you know who your soulmate, friend, partner, lover for life, and The Lord’s choice for you is going to be!! Through keeping the communication alive and getting through obstacles of Mike’s mom becoming very ill after a stroke in November (right before Mike proposed to me), losing Mike’s mom 2 weeks before our wedding, just told us more that the Lord was there for us and we were meant to be together. Our wedding was just as we wanted it to be…an Irish FIESTA! The ending and beginning of so many experiences can only be held up by one man, GOD! And we thank Him every day of our lives for all our blessings! We also thank Catholic Singles for bringing us together! There would have been no way possible that we would have met. I was at the beach in “The OC”, while he was at the White House! We also share our success story with anyone who asks, including at our Engagement Encounter weekend. So one last note to those of you who may not believe yet that there is someone out there for you – it is true when they say, “when you least expect it, it will happen”. Because it does happen!
