Ashley and Andy

I had just moved to Chicago as a medical student and had not met a lot of people in my new city. Andy had always been in Chicago, except for a small stint at Notre Dame. With the encouragement of friends, we both signed up for Catholic Singles to meet some new people but without much expectation. In May of 2004, Andy and I started a few conversations on-line and had spoken once or twice by phone.

Since I had never been to a Cubs game, and Andy being a very big Cubs fan, he invited me out to a game so that we could actually meet. We had a great time, the cubs lost, but we continued our evening over dinner and both thought we would keep in touch. We did keep in touch.

We were engaged to be married in April, 2005. Our ceremony and celebration will take place in San Diego on August 5th, 2005, just a few weeks away. We are so sincerely happy and amazed we found one another. And we are grateful that Catholic Singles had a role to play in helping our paths cross.
