I am struggling right now with my mother's pending demise. The time is closing in and to watch her struggle is agonizing. I have her on hospice, but the facility does not check as they should. I am frustrated. I have started documenting for lack of anything else I have control over.
She has gotten so she has difficulty taking fluids, eats three or four small bites and that is it. Any pearls of wisdom. I pray, and she has prayed and prayed. The priest came and annointed her a couple days ago. This truly is a very awful thing to watch. The facility is slow in delivering the meds. And frankly have done a horrible job especially over the past month.
She has been talking to a number of deceased relatives. I know the time is coming closer when is the question. It would be a relief to her to be done with the struggle.
She has readily acknowledged her belief in Him and I am at peace that she will be with Him. It is the journey that is so very painful to watch.
