Abortion: Not a Matter of Faith...

by gallitzin on Oct 23rd, 2010 @ 09:24 AM

It should be clarified that in the upcoming election, abortion is NOT an issue of faith or a matter of faith at all.

Why? Abortion is entirely in the realm of reason alone. ie. common sense is the only requirement. Faith is not required or even used to conclude that killing a child in the womb is wrong. 1+1=2. Human life begins at conception. This is simple biology. Only a failure in reason makes the wrong conclusion.

The US would not be "respecting an establishment of religion", because religion requires an ounce of faith. We are not talking about the establishment of religion or making the use of faith. This is reason alone.

If anyone can recall the pronouncement that abortion is not a matter of faith and fits entirely in the realm of reason, let others know. :)
