When I first came to this website, I had been on catholic.com. How did I get to that website?
Recently on facebook, I was chatting to a friend of a friend who was going through some issues. I felt the need that God was calling me to help him. He asked me a simple question which got me thinking about life. He asked me "How do I live my life even with all the bad things in the world keep going round and round?" Before I went on facebook, I attended the Diocesan Youth Mass at the Cathedral where I had to serve as the Eucharistic Minister. Listening to the Gospel and the homily, the message that got to me was knowing who I am and being called to be a disciple. It's not what we do, but it is who we are. To be a disciple of Jesus, it doesn't have to be through the big events we go through in our lives but it's also the small things. Anyway, my friend's friend who I was chatting to asked if he could ask that question. My answer to him was plain and simple. I put my trust in God. I told him that we can not depend on anyone nor our family. We are human. So I put my trust in Him. Hence why I am very confident and content with myself because I know that God knows me and that he's got my back. No insecurities whatsoever because I know that God matters the most to me. Without God, I wouldn't be where I am at today. This guy told me that I should help others and write up my own blog. But I told him that I didn't want to preach or scare people away because seriously when you start talking to someone about God they walk away. It's happened to me a few times. Well a lot I should say. I want to keep it real. Now that I think about it, I have joined Catholic Singles for fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ who have the same values as me as well as writing up some stuff on my blog. It's 1.30am Monday morning and my writing has just begun. I pray that whoever reads this may be blessed and that we put all our trust in God. Bye for now. |
