Those less fortunate than we...

by caringheartd on Mar 12th, 2010 @ 05:50 PM

As a young adult, my heart was always moved with sadness when reflecting on the people of poorer countries, how little they have, the struggles they endure, the hardships they battle.... so very sad.

As an older adult, my heart now sees the treasure many people of poorer countries possess within their hearts, minds, and souls: they are closer to God than most of us Americans and other Western countries, because there is little between them and God, to distract them or interfere with their relationship.

We are so easily distracted by SO MUCH, that it is sometimes difficult to see God in our lives, our families, our communities, our country.

Pray that we may convert ourselves, our families, and our country back to God.

Thank you....
