I was away from the church for many years, I have walked a tight rope between good and evil my entire life and have had many chances to fall. The reason I didn't.....My own choice. Even when pressured by people or groups I made my own choice,in doing that I spent many years alone. But I can walk knowing that the choices I made were the right ones.
Now many horrible things are happening, be it genocide, holocaust, sexual abuse, terrorism, gossip.. The people who commit these acts are the ones who made the choice to commit them. Their leaders may have inspired or possibly hid their activates. But it is the person making the choice, to do the act, that is guilty of it. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE has free will, you join by free will, you participate by free will, and you carry out your act by freewill.
But to judge a whole race, family, group, or church for the acts of one or a few is not only wrong it is casting stones...And how many of us are free from sin.
Those who break the laws of men will be judged, those who break the laws of God also will be judged and there are no loopholes in God's court.
Disliking all middle-eastern people because of a few is wrong, judging a church because of a few is wrong.
judging by color, sex, height weight or any other difference is wrong. We all know this and yet here we are.....Judging and being judged. It is time to understand and forgive. those responsible made their own choice and if they let the truth be moved aside for their own gain, then they too will have to answer for it. Realize these alleged assaults happened over 10 years ago.. and if our pope knew about them and covered them up, or if a cardinal or Bishop did they too will be judged.
But, The CHURCH, itself, did nothing, your PRIEST did nothing, your FLOCK did nothing and to judge them or stop believing in them is wrong.
Keep in mind we make choices each day, to gossip, lie, judge or let someone know how bad their driving is.
So as you venture forth into this beautiful world with your pocket full of stones... do something different and put them back where they belong and reach out to both the fallen and the high with open hands and hearts.
