In our day to day life we tend to gradually drift away from God. Yet there is hope. Each Mass we can rejoin the church with a simple act of taking Holy Communion. The ritual of breaking bread with God and drinking the holy blood gives us a reknewed strength. My dad while in the hospital took holy communion. That combined with prayers, including mine shorn in tears, lifted his spirit so he could leave the hospital. I am eternally grateful that he became well enough to leave. I am listening to the Gospel of John, my favorite book in the Bible, on CD... it helps to pass the time when my mind does not want to sleep. Now I will seek sleep again. Praise to God; and thank you Mary.
