I have downs but I'm NOT OUT!!

I may have been branded with the term downs syndrome because I have an extra chromosone but I do not feel any different from anyone else. I am hoping this site will allow me to meet open minded good people who will give me a chance and get to know me for who I am and not automatically judge me for what society has branded me. I would like to meet people who have similar lifestyles, hopes and dreams as I do.

Dear Missy22, Welcome to CS. I have a brother with Down Syndrome and the outside world always underestimates his capabilities, which is extremely unfortunate. Because by doing this , as you put it, you really miss getting to know the person. He is also high functioning. I wish you the best on the site and pray that the Lord presents you with the right one. In the mean time, if at all possible, you should come into the "CHAT" room. It is a very comfortable setting in getting to meet people and establish friendships. Sometimes it gives busier than others, but for the most enjoyable. God Bless You!
