Have you ever thought about how much the rain is looked down upon? Most people don't enjoy the rain, there are times when I certainly don't. However, without the rain we would have no green grass or blooming flowers. Without the rain, much of our world would remain dirty.
Last night, well really this morning, we had a great thunderstorm. Another is due tonight. I woke up and instantly smiled. I have always liked thunderstorms. I like the sound of the lightening and the smell of the rain as it whipped around by the wind. But more than that, I like the idea of all the dirt being washed away. The buildings and streets look cleaner after a nice, hard rain. The wind has a smell that is unlike any other time. It's like God looked down and said "Things need a good washing." The rain brings a smile to my face. So find joy in the rain.
