PLEASE TAKE CARE OF HER BY: MARK ANTHONY ROSOLOWSKI
I had a dream the other night, I was once again a six year old boy, and it was the day that my father died. I could clearly see myself as my mother told me the news. I saw the tears falling from my eyes as I tried to understand why he would leave me. He was my best buddy, he was daddy, yet he was leaving me, I cried for a love that I had lost. As I grew older I often talked to my father, I would hear his answers to me, I knew in my heart it was truly him talking to me. I dreamed of my father often, I knew he was with me as I accomplished things in my life. I saw him standing near me as I graduated high school, I saw him standing behind the children of the first man I resuscitated with C.P.R. I saw him the day I married my wife, I saw the smile on his face as I vowed to love her until death.
As time went on I continued to talk to my father, it never seemed strange to me, I saw him many times, and he was always in the background, smiling at me. When I became Grand Knight of my Knights of Columbus Council, I saw him, as I picked up the gavel to start the meeting, I felt him wrap his hand around mine to let me know that he was there.
The day my wife died, I went to the cemetery to talk to my father. I did not usually go there, but on this day I wanted to be near him. As I stood there, tears falling from my eyes, I spoke to my father. I was feeling like a 6 year old boy again, as I asked my daddy what I was to do without her. I told him how much I loved her, how much I needed her and how she needed someone to take care of her.
As I stood there as always my father did answer me, he told me that she was a lovely lady, that he was with her, and that although she could not yet speak to me, she wanted me to know she was safe. As I heard those words from my daddy, I asked him to please take care of her until I get there. His answer to me was that he would care for her until I got there to be with her again.
I continued talking to my father asking questions when I needed his help. Then one day as I asked him a question his voice was replaced by another. The voice was so sweet, soft and soothing; I broke down in tears as Donna spoke to me. She told me that she was there for me, that she was in the presence of God, that she had touched the face of God and had sat on Marys lap. She told me of the beauty of Heaven and that she loved me. I now have two people to turn to when I need help.
It is amazing the love you have for a person does not end when they die, the person takes it with them to Heaven and they can still share it with you, all you have to do is talk to them.
