I have talked about this to some friends, some disagree with me and laugh telling me how foolish I sound, and the ones that agree with me are left with a new understanding of the Right-to-Life, or at least a new perspective.

Anyone following my blogs and my posts on the Message Board has read, "Never Was." Several people through E-mails, and comments on the message board or blog, have pointed out that I do not attack abortion on its moral grounds in that story. Rather, in that story I attack abortion in a way that makes people think about the effects abortion has on them in a personal way.

I have been involved in the Right-to-Life in one form or another since around 1975, I have heard people rant and rave about the moral issue of destroying a human life that God has created, to have the Pro-Choice movement rant and rave about when it becomes a human being and not a mass of tissue. That argument has been going on for years, as a member of the Knights of Columbus, I have attended Right-to-Life rallies, I see the numbers increasing every year and I see more young people at these events. It shows we are getting through to some but not others.

Before I had to sell my car, I had a bumper sticker that read, “You can’t be both, Pro-Choice and Catholic”, that received a lot of criticism even in the parking lot of my church. I use to think how a person who believes in God could; want to destroy a life created by Him. That was when I decided to attack abortion on a different level and to show that we are not just allowing an innocent child of God to be pulled from its mother’s womb and slaughtered. I also wanted to illustrate that each child that is brutally murdered, torn from its mother’s womb, had potential and we have denied the entire human race of that potential. Maybe, if one pro-choice person reads it, or a person who says as long as I do not do it who cares, and they know someone who is dying from a dreaded disease, their eyes will be opened to the fact the person who could have saved them was murdered. Then instead of just verbally saying abortion is wrong or saying as long as I do not participate, will join the cause of the Right-to-Life.

This is called November 02, 2010 it is the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November, or Election Day. Ask yourself are you registered to vote, if not get registered. If you are registered to vote, do you vote, if not get out and vote. Do you sit at home and spout out, they are all crooks, who cares, change your attitude, and let them know you care.

Recent Rasmussen Polls have shown that the majority of Americans are Pro-Life, so if we get out and ask those running their stance on abortion, we can get rid of those who do not believe in the right of every child to be born, use your power to vote, and elect those that have the high moral belief that life is a precious, gift from God.
