NEVER WAS

I fall into a deep peaceful sleep; I am in a restful dream when I hear a scream, a strange frightening scream, the sound of which I have never heard before.

I get out of bed, the screaming continues, and it is multiplying, more voices are added to these screams of terror, these unearthly shrieks oh horror. I walk out of my room into a strange place, a dry, desolate lonely place. There are no flowers, no trees, no grass; all there is in this place are the shrieks, the cries, the anguished hollering. I continue to walk but I cover my ears to keep the shrill shrieks out, to no avail, they are getting louder, now a multitude of voices are pleading, screaming in agony, begging for the torture to stop. I see a dumpster; it seems like that is where the agonizing screams are coming from. I attempt to walk to the dumpster, but as I walk I get no closer, as if for every step I take the dumpster moves away.

I see a man and a woman, open the dumpster, as they lift the lid the screaming gets louder, then I see their bloody hands as they throw what they are carrying into the dumpster. They drop the lid closed, and take a wad of money out of their pockets and count it, laugh and then kiss the money as they shove it back in their pockets, leaving bloody smears on their clothing.

I want to see what is in the dumpster, I need to see what is making that noise but I cannot reach the dumpster, suddenly the dumpster disappears. I see the man and woman again, they look older, he looks sick. The woman is asking a man in a white coat, why can’t anything be done for her husband, he is dying, there has to be something medical science can do for him.

Suddenly the man changes, he becomes a horrible, mass of arms and legs, heads with holes punched in them from medical instruments, lifeless babies. The woman screams in horror as she hears. “We are the never was, you tore us out of our mother’s wombs and threw us in the dumpster like trash, one of us was to find the cure for cancer, anotherone of us the cure for AIDS another one of us was to help children walk again.” “But this will not happen because you murdered us, we are the never was.”

Think about it one aborted child, could have been the one to cure cancer, AIDS, MS, Lou Gehrig’s disease, the list is endless. Abortion kills more then just the unborn child, remember one Baby that was born long ago, in a manger, saved all of mankind.
