HELP BY: MARK ANTHONY ROSOLOWSKI
I was feeling depressed one afternoon, I knew I could handle it on my own, so I sat in my chair and waited for the depression to leave. As I sat there the depression grew worse, but I knew I did not need help, as I sank deeper into despair I cried out for help. Then I saw a loved one and felt her kiss and saw her smile and the depression lifted.
I was feeling angry one morning, throughout the day I lashed out at friends and family and drove them away. I knew I could handle this on my own, I did not need any help, but my anger grew. I knew I was lost and I called out for help. Then I received unconditional love as my friends and family returned, my anger abated and I was at ease.
I was feeling lonely one evening, so I stayed inside, closed the doors and windows and sat in the dark, the loneliness grew. I knew I could handle this on my own, I watched television, but I was still lonely. I cried out for help, I felt the urge to leave the house and as I walked outside my friends joined me we laughed and joked, I no longer felt lonely.
One night I was feeling afraid, I put up my defenses, but the darkness of fear wrapped around me. I knew I could break free on my own, but the more defenses I put up, the darker it became. Finally I called out for help, and the darkness ebbed away, there was a light that grew brighter and a hand reached out to me. As I took the hand I was no longer afraid.
I woke up and I felt lost, I did not know where I was or what I was going to do. I knew I could find the way to my destination on my own; I did not need someone to help me. As I searched for the right way to go, I became more disoriented, I was walking in circles, and I did not know where to go. Finally I called out for help, the correct path was shown to me, and I knew where I was going and where I was. I was no longer lost.
I felt weak one day, I was too tired to go on, and I lay down and waited for my strength to return. I did not need help, I just needed to rest and relax. As I rested I became weaker and more tired, I called out for help and I felt myself being lifted up. I knew I was being carried, my strength started to return, when I was strong enough, I was put back onto my own feet to continue my journey. I felt strong.
I was feeling unloved, so the first person I saw I fell in love with, I did it on my own, I did not need help. I was giving love but found out I was not getting the same love in return. I cried out for help and I was shown the person that was picked for me. I felt the love from this person, I felt love.
A simple thing to remember, no matter how strong you are, you cannot do it on your own, just call out and ask God for His guidance and His help. As soon as you ask for help, you will feel His loving arms wrap around you. You will feel Jesus lift you up into His arms and you will feel the mantle of Mary wrap around you. Then you will be able to accomplish anything and overcome any obstacle that is in your path. Nothing is impossible with God, all you have to do is ask for His help and it will be there.
