HAVEN'T I DONE ENOUGH?
BY: MARK ANTHONY ROSOLOWSKI

I was lying in my hospital bed the other night and I started to pray, I asked God, "Haven't I done enough, haven't I been through enough?" I looked at myself and continued with, "I thought I was doing the right thing, why are You asking more of me?" I finished with "What do You want me to do?" I fell asleep with the question on my mind, "Haven't I done enough?"

As I slept I saw a man in my dreams, this man had a strong faith in God, and I would say it seemed to be stronger than my belief. In this dream I saw this man of God lose all of his possessions, his sons and daughters were all killed but the man just stood up tore his robes, shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship God. The man said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb and naked I shall leave this world. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Praise the name of the Lord." Not once during his trials did the man blame God or ask God for an easier life.

Later I saw this man stricken with boils from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. The man did not curse his affliction, rather her sat a scraped the boils so that they would heal. When asked why he does not curse God, he responded, "Should we accept only the good things from God and not adversity?" Once again the man accepted his life as it was being given to him. The man did not once put the blame of his afflictions on God nor did he ask God for an easier life.

As I slept the wisdom of this man came to me. All that we possess, all of those that are near and dear to us are all a gift from God. We enter this world with nothing, all we earn is because of God's love for us, if we lose something along the path of life it is because it is in God's plan, who are we to question the will of God. The same with accepting adversity it is easy to accept the good times and the happiness and proclaim your love for God, but it is in the times of illness and a hardship when you need God that it is hard to proclaim your love.

As I woke I tanked God for all that I have, I thanked Him for his abundant blessings and I asked Him, "What else can I do for You, I have not done enough."
