FEAR DEATH, WHY?
BY: MARK ANTHONY ROSOLOWSKI

I have often heard people say that they are afraid to die. When I hear this, I ask myself, "Why, be afraid of death?", "What is there to fear?" Then I sit back and I find my answers.

I think back to a homecoming, I see myself landing at JFK Airport, getting off the plane and walking through the terminal, I did not know what I would find there, other then my future wife waiting for me. What a happy reunion it was, to finally be with her after all those long weeks apart.

It was the same homecoming when we drove into the driveway, as we walked to the door, I heard my dog, she did not know what was going to come through the door but she was anticipating the arrival of something good. As I walked through the door, she leaped on my, licking my face, happy to see her master again.

I saw my grandfather, it was the first time that I could remember but I went to him and gave him a hug. I was happy to see him again, I know we did not always agree on things, but now it sis not matter, we were together again as it should be.

Later that same day, I went to the home of my Best Man, he called me and told me to be over at his house by five o'clock, as I pulled up I saw a lot of cars I recognized, cars of friends whom I have not seen for awhile, others were as recent as a party before I left for boot camp. I did not know what to expect as I knocked on the door and was invited in, but I knew it would be something good. It would be a reunion of friends.

Death, is nothing more then a homecoming, we do not know what we will find on the other side of the door, but we do know it is something good. It is something we dream of, something we desire. Imagine the rapture of that meeting, when you see all of your loved ones again, and you can kneel before God and worship Him forever.

So even though I do not want to die yet, I am ready for death and I do not fear death.
