About me...

by ArmyAuntof3 on Jul 23rd, 2010 @ 05:17 PM

I am a single woman that loves to be around people. I am a lector and Eucaristic Minister in my Parish. I love the outdoors and when I can, I take my niece and nephew fishing and/or swimming. I have never been married because I have never been able to find that man who is willing to share my beliefs in God as well as allow me to have friends of my own. I do not believe anyone has the right to tell others how to live or who to talk to. I do believe we can offer advice and help others to find the correct way to live there lives, but should never force people to be or do things they do not want to do.

I am a cook and I have been cooking for over thirty years. For fun, I bake. I can bake almost anything I put my mind to. I have made cakes for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, baptisms, graduations and many other occations. I bake pies and at Christmas time, it is my job to bake the cookies for the family. I usually have my youngest niece come over and help me with decorating them.

Family means everything to me, as does my religion. I do not like people that tell me I have to choose between them, my Catholic faith or my family. My family has aways been there for me in hard times as has my faith. I go to mass almost every Sunday and some Saturdays, but my schedule at work sometimes prevents me from going to mass. For that reason, I do not mind when I have to attend mass both Saturday and Sunday to participate as an EM and/or lector. My favorite mass is Palm Sunday. I have read at this mass for the past 5 years and I would love to read at that mass as long as God will let me.
