Cursillo

by ShadowMan on Mar 4th, 2011 @ 10:00 PM

I just went through Cursillo... I was amazed at how people from around the state worked together to help me and my father gain momentum in our faith walk. Especially nice were the graduating gifts. One of which I gave my mother so she would not worry about saying the Rosary. One of the banners said an isolated Christian is a paralyzed Christian. That is so true. We must link up with our brothers and sisters, especially in the Catholic Faith to reinforce the dogmatic teachings, especially the Nicene and Apostle's Creed. For me, I focus on the Nicene Creed and although I can't remember it without some help I believe in it with all my might.

There is, however, a thorny question about other faiths and what awaits people that are not baptized or brought into the fold. I am not a scholar in Church teachings, but my heart says that God is merciful. With his mercy I will be able to ascend into a realm that few can imagine. Much like a butterfly that sleeps during metamorphous I am in the process right now of being made anew. I call myself a born again Catholic and will conduct my life in a way that will inspire others.

I still feel lonely at times and that is a rub… there are many fine people, Catholic and otherwise which I dated in the past. But the spark to kindle and build that relationship was just not quite there. I still feel very hopeful that I will find a good match. It is possible that that match has already found me :)

In any event... writing a blog has been very educational for me. I would say that it is part of my journal writing which I do from time to time. Sometimes when I write I ask myself why I thought that way. To that I must say that it was just an idea which triggered some good memories in my mind.
